A well-established company is recruiting for a
MEMBER LIAISON OFFICER - 6 MONTH CONTRACT
PORT ELIZABETH (EASTERN CAPE)
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The purpose of the role is to travel to interact with all beneficiaries of the Scheme to promote behaviour modification towards a healthy lifestyle through effective communication and beneficiary education. The role also serves to collect date from members, resolve/refer beneficiary queries, link beneficiaries to Administer/Managed Care as well as educate beneficiaries on Scheme digital platforms. Extensive liaison with Employee Health and Wellness (EHW) component of the SAPS Eastern Cape as well as station commanders in the province
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, AMONGST OTHERS INCLUDE:
Health Promotion
- Educate beneficiaries on healthy lifestyle benefits
- Analyse beneficiary health and claims data and implement strategies to improve beneficiary health status
- Analyses data and generates insights on key health trends impacting on members in designated regions
- Delivers health promotion campaigns for designated areas - including peer education, information dissemination, targeted events and initiatives
- Mobilises support from key stakeholders to improve uptake of health promotion interventions for improvement of member health outcomes; and
- Supports delivery of wellness interventions through events and activations in specific regions.
Member Service Excellence
- Assist beneficiaries in addressing service and administrative queries;
- Facilitate beneficiary understanding of products, benefits, services and Scheme processes;
- Facilitate effective query resolution by acting as a liaison between members and Administrator, MCO and members on escalated issues; and
- Analyse beneficiary queries for inputs into benefit design and improvement of Scheme processes;
- Analyse beneficiary interaction trends across all touchpoints for designated areas to identify themes for root cause analysis and enabling effective query resolution.
Member Communication
- Executes communication per beneficiary communication plan for designated areas;
- Undertakes education campaigns on scheme processes, products, benefits, healthcare provision, wellness and preventative benefits; and
- Reports on performance of member communication to ensure effectiveness and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Management
- Develops effective stakeholder relationships with SAPS management in designated areas for effective execution of member experience and health outcomes improvement;
- Builds operational networks with members management at all levels in the province to enable implementation of member communication and health promotion initiatives;
- Creates strong relationships with Administrator and MCO team to improve member experience and expedite issue resolution;
- Is visible to all members in designated regions through various engagement platforms;
- Develops and implements an effective stakeholder engagement plan; and
- Provide regular feedback on progress and highlight or escalate snags and problems immediately as they occur
Compliance and Governance
- Executes in adherence to all relevant regulatory and business practices;
- Active risk management by identifying and escalating policy, statutory and regulatory compliance breaches; and
- Contributes to a high-performance corporate culture that promotes ethical practices and encourages individual integrity, accountability, and social responsibility
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
- NQF Level 7 qualification in Health Sciences
- 2 years' experience in Marketing, Customer Service or Wellness Management in a Medical Scheme
